Waffle Bar Party Ideas
We decided to host a Christmas open house this year and serve brunch. I thought a waffle bar would be the perfect unique brunch menu idea! McGeeky loves it when we stay at hotels that offer a make-your-own waffle option for breakfast so I took a lot of my inspiration from there, and added bits of holiday sparkle everywhere I could. It turned out so well that I think I may re-use the idea for a New Year's Day meal next year!
We set a couple of waffle irons on the table, and in front of each I placed a customized card with instructions so our guests would know how to use them.
I provided a variety of syrups for toppings, and I labeled them with tent cards. I placed the syrups on a large cake plate to elevate them and make them more prominent and easier to reach.
I didn't realize you could get a custom table runner made, but what a great touch it made on the table! These are actually fairly heavyweight paper that wipe off easily so they can be reused. I am thinking of getting some different styles with our monogram as well.
My favorite piece might be the gold foiled word art piece I ordered. You chose a frame style to match the gold foil, and I couldn't be happier with the quality. I know I will be using this year after year in my Christmas decorating.
I used coordinating wine glass markers on the stems of the wine glasses as well as on top of jelly jars as cute lids. The straws fit perfectly through the holes!
I layered a silver metallic banner and a coordinating circle banner over top of gold fringe door curtains to add some interest to the wall. A final touch was winding some silver glitter velvet ribbonin and around everything on the table.
