Trapper Keeper 80s Party Invitation
We are helping a friend plan a big 80s-themed party and were looking for a really unique party invitation that really spoke to fads from the 80s. We settled on the Trapper Keeper as our inspiration — what 80s kid didn't have one of those? — and created mini Trapper Keeper folders that are the perfect way to present the party invite.
It all starts with our printable folder design featuring the classic rainbow and hearts Lisa Frank design that I remember so fondly from the 1980s. I even made little printable folder images to go inside! Download our free Trapper Keeper party invitation printable to get started.
Print the outer binder design onto white cardstock, and cut out with scissors. Be sure to cut along the faint gray outline, leaving a white border around the blue.
Use a straight edge and stylus or bone folder to score along the two white lines on either side of the main full rainbow image.
Fold on those scored lines to create a tri-fold binder.
Print the inner folder images onto white sticker paper. (Alternately, you can use regular paper and a glue stick or double-sided tape.) Write the party details on and then stick them to the inside of the folder.
To complete the look, add a little thin, clear 3/8" Velcro self-adhesive dot to hold the flap closed.
Isn't this the cutest thing ever?
The finished invitations will fit in a standard A6 sized invitation envelope, which measures 4-3/4" x 6-1/2".
