Thanksgiving Dinner Conversation Starters
Every year at Thanksgiving, I like to give the dinner table discussion a kick start with some conversation starter cards or games. This year, I decided to do double duty and put the conversation starter questions right on the silverware bags that would be used for my Thanksgiving tabletop decor. If my guests don't look carefully, they might not even notice there's a dinner game built right into their place settings.
Jo helped me come up with 12 fun and quirky conversation starter questions. I knew my family would like lighthearted questions that would make everyone laugh. Everyone will wonder aloud who will be the first to unbutton his or her pants, stain his shirt, or think about football while eating. I think My Honey might be the top answer for who will avoid washing dishes AND who will eat the most pie!
Following the same techniques as in my original tutorial for creating custom printed silverware bags, I designed word art for these questions, which I'm happy to share in a print-ready Thanksgiving dinner conversation starters PDF file.
Using the directions in the original tutorial as well as the layout template in the downloadable template, I printed the questions onto a handful of our exclusive kraft cutlery bags.
I just love how the elegant font looks classy, and perfectly contradicts the humorous questions.
I printed one bag for each guest, and tucked a napkin and silverware inside.
Then I randomly placed them at each place setting around the table. During dinner, each guest will get to ask his or her question and everyone can vote on who they think the right answer is.

Is there a trick to download the pdf for the Thanksgiving conversation starters? I have tried several times, by clicking on the words but it only brings me back to the blog. Help, please!
Jo Anne, there was a typo in our link that broke it, but we've just fixed it. Please try again, and thanks for letting us know about the problem!
