Stranger Things Party Ideas
We are huge fans of Netflix's show "Stranger Things" and we thought it would be fun to throw a Stranger Things themed party to celebrate the release of the latest season. Rather than rely on the usual party supplies that are readily available, we thought we would totally DIY our tablescape to create a truly unique party setup.
We started by covering the table with a black tablecloth and then adding random bands of yellow caution tape.
Over that, we added a long kraft paper runner down the middle of the table and topped it with a string of vintage, old-fashioned Christmas lights.
Then we mimicked Joyce's genius communication plan by writing letters on the paper next to each bulb.
At each place setting, we put one of our DIY Demogorgon placemats, which we made out of felt. Be sure to check out our blog post for the pattern and full tutorial for making your own.
And on those placemats, we served a meal of Eggo waffles, Eleven's favorite food.
Along the table runner, we scattered more Stranger Things inspired items, like a pair of walkie talkies and some 20-sided dice, the perfect nod to the Dungeons and Dragons club.
A simple trucker hat and a mini backpack from the party store were great reminders of Dustin's gear.
We couldn't forget the all-important music! We picked up a vintage-look boom box for the table to keep Max safe. And to honor Hopper, we added a Hawkins Police Chief badge that we printed from a photo we found online.
Once everything was together and those lights were turned on, we knew we had totally captured the essence of Stranger Things for this party decor.
Are you all caught up on the latest season of Stranger Things? If so, let us know what you thought of it!
