Space Themed Kid Playroom Table
I picked up a cute little kids' height table recently to put in my nephew's bedroom, since it's the perfect height for toddlers to use with floor pillows. When it came to decorating it, I was instantly inspired by the round feet on the legs, which immediately made me think of a space theme.
I started by spray painting the top with Rust-oleum Painter's Touch in a rich navy blue.
I wanted the legs to be white so I used painter's tape to mask everythign else before painting them.
Decorating with a space theme might be tricky since I am not good at drawing, but I found a way around it. I printed out some fun outer space designs I found on the internet and used white transfer paper to trace the images all around the table top.
To make the images permanent, I simply traced them with a white paint pen. This was a lot easier for me than trying to use a liner brush and a steady hand would have been.
After all the main images were done, I filled in the empty spaces with stars, which I freehanded.
This adorable painted outer space play table was such a quick project, with big impact. It will work great in my nephew's bedroom with some floor pillows and a cute space themed lamp.
