Potion Themed Cutlery Bags for Halloween Place Setting
For Halloween, I wanted to add a Harry Potter touch to my party table. After seeing Chica create some cutlery bags for a wedding place setting, I decided to try it out for my table. I used her downloadable template for custom printed silverware bags and followed her directions to create my bags, and used our potion label template as my design.
First, you should do as Chica says and not as I do. I went ahead and printed directly onto bags instead of onto the test sheet first, and I messed them up. Luckily, the bags are inexpensive and I had extra but you might not. As you can see below, the image on the left bag was just a smidge off center.
If you printer doesn't line up perfectly with the template, it's easy to just physically move your bag in the correct direction. Once I moved them both slightly over, the printing came out perfectly!
I used washi tape to affix them to the paper because it was easier to remove the tape without damaging the bag. If you don't have washi tape, you can create your own low-adhesive tape by simply sticking a piece of regular tape to your forehead first. I know it sounds crazy but it really works. There's just enough sticky left to hold the bag in place without damaging it when you remove the tape.
These are perfect for Halloween or for a Harry Potter party. You could even fill them with treats and use them as favors.
