Glitter Christmas Elvis Canvas Wall Art
My aunt is a huge fan of Elvis, so I wanted to get her a unique Elvis Christmas gift. She loved the previous glitter canvases I've made featuring Santa Claus, The Grinch, and Baby Yoda so I decided to make her a glitter Christmas Elvis.
We made a pattern featuring Elvis in his classic singing pose, but we added a jolly Santa hat. This is the perfect Christmas Elvis pattern for this canvas art.
Once you download the pattern, use the "poster print" settings on your printer to scale it up to the size of canvas you have. I used a large 20x20 canvas so that it would make a huge impact on the wall, so that meant printing the image onto a 3x3 grid (9 pages total), then taping them together.
I put sheets of carbon paper between the canvas and pattern, and traced the outline to transfer the image to the canvas.
Tip: Make sure all of your lines have been transferred before removing your pattern, so that it stays aligned while you fix any that you missed.
As I always do when working with glitter, I painted a base color first to give the glitter a solid background so that it really pops. To go along with the classic "Blue Christmas" Elvis song, I decided to make Elvis blue.
Usually, I use glitter paint to cover the paint but this time, I couldn't find the right shade of blue I wanted so I used glue and loose glitter. This works just fine but it is a lot messier!
After cleaning up all the glitter, I painted the edges of the canvas a solid blue to mimic a frame.
As a final step, I sprayed a top coat of sealer over the whole thing to make sure the glitter doesn't flake off and make a mess all over the floor.
