Flea Market Find End Table Makeover with Deco Adhesive
I picked up a little four-drawer wooden cabinet at a flea market over a year ago. I thought it was super cute but couldn't decide how to decorate it so it just sat in storage. Then recently, Duck Brand sent us some samples of their Deco Adhesive and inspiration finally struck.
I particularly loved the basketweave type pattern on of their removable adhesive liners, so I decided to cover the outside of the cabinet with it.
But before I could add the liner, I needed to paint the drawers. I used ColorShot Marshmallow to give a glossy, even coat of white.
Then I used Americana Decor Outdoor Living to add a touch of color to the front of the frame, matching the color in the basketweave pattern.
Once all the painting was complete and dry, it was time to measure the liner to go around the sides and top.
I carefully lined the straight edge up with the front and slowly removed the backing and smoothed out the wrinkles.
I trimmed the excess on the sides and back off with an craft knife.
To transform this little cabinet into a functional piece of furniture, I added 8 inch hairpin legs to the bottom. This brought it up to the correct height for an end table.
It's a fantastic end table for our family room because the drawers offer so much storage for all of our remotes and other odds and ends.
I might add a piece of thin acrylic to the top to protect it even more from scratches or spills. Although if it ever got damaged, the beauty of this liner paper is that it would be super easy to remove the existing liner and replace it with new piece!
