Feathers and Metallics for a Thanksgiving Table Setting
I love setting my dining room table for special meals and one of the most special ones is coming up next month — Thanksgiving! I start planning weeks ahead of time and then tweak things here and there until the day of the big feast. Let's take a look at what I've got so far.
When I want a whole new tablescape but don't want to spend a lot of money, I tend to just buy a new featured salad plate and build from there. I was inspired by (#ad) a feather pattern plate from Pier 1, which I complemented with some neutral linens, chargers, and dinner plates that I already had.
I wanted to bring in some metallic accents to match the feathers, and found just the thing in the Dollar Deals bin at Target... some sweet little maple leaf napkin rings.
More metallic accents came by way of some tiny bronze pumpkins, which I tucked into the greenery along with some brown and blue feathers from Hobby Lobby.
While at Hobby Lobby, I found some really cute place card holders, but I did not like their original dark iron color. A couple of coats of blue Dazzling Metallics later, and they were much more my style.
Orange hurricane globes with large candles were the perfect touch to warm up the table with soft light.
I am quite happy with how things look, especially how quickly it came together with just a few new metallic and feather accents.
