End of School Year Treat Bags
Are you as surprised as I am that it's the end of the school year already? My niece only has two more days in 2nd grade, and Little Jo is finishing up 1st grade. They are both very eager for her summer fun to start. While talking about it with Jo today, we were inspired to make snacks for the girls to share with their classmates on their last day of school. Around here, you know what that means — a new bag tag is in order!
We love bag tags because they are such a quick and easy way to make a treat look extra special. Just download our End of School Year bag tag template and print onto white cardstock.
Like the others, this bag tag is perfectly sized to fit on a standard brown paper lunch bag. We love to fill these bags with our homemade kettle corn, which is delightfully sweet and inexpensive to make in large quantities.
To use the tags, just cut them out (there will be two tags printed on each sheet) and fold in half down the middle.
At this point I couldn't help but notice how cute the tags were on their own, sitting on my desk like little signs. Wouldn't these make a lovely card for teachers to leave their students on the last day of school? You could write a little note inside and leave one on each desk. Or a student could even give the card to the teacher! I love it when things are so versatile, don't you?
But back to our primary goal, which is to create cute treat bags. Once you've filled the bag with whatever snack you've got, fold the top edge over, add the tag, and staple it all together. And that's it!
I think this might be my favorite bag tag yet, and I can't wait to hear how all the kids like them.

So glad you and your 5-yr-old liked it, Jenny!
Very cute. Do you have a template for "Welcome Back to School?" I'd like to do this for the upcoming 1st day of school.
Candy, what a great idea! I just made a Back to School version to match. You can get the download in our Back to School treat bag tutorial.
