Christmas Ornament Candleholders
Last year I purchased a bunch of really pretty ornaments on after-Christmas clearance because I liked the vintage style and pretty colors. I thought I might use them to make an ornament wreath, but when I was playing around with them, I noticed their flat-ish shape let them stack up perfectly. I knew right away they would make adorable candleholders.
Making candleholders from these Christmas ornaments was simple, almost beyond belief. I just used clear Gorilla Glue to adhere one ornament to the next. The only trick is to make sure you line up the hangers on the ornaments so that when your candleholders are ready to display, you can put that side to the back.
I made the candleholders in several different heights, using anywhere from two to five ornaments on each one. It was so easy that I was quickly able to make a lot of them. This idea would work with any fairly flat ornament, so don't be afraid to experiment and stack them to see what looks good. I also suggest using only plastic, shatter-proof ornaments, for safety reasons.
With the simple addition of some candles, I transformed these ornaments into absolutely adorable candleholders! They look so charming displayed in a bunch on the mantle.
Battery-operated tapers are the safest choice, but if you use real candles like I did, make sure you glue the candle to the top of the holder as well for extra stability. And as always, NEVER leave burning candles unattended.
