Back to School and Teacher Appreciation Favor Box Printables
It's hard to believe that it's almost back-to-school time already! A teacher friend of mine was looking for a way to welcome back her students, so I pitched in and designed some favor boxes for her to hand out. Stuffed with school supplies and decorated with our free, printable, school-themed labels, these boxes are a perfect way to ring in the new school year. And since I was at it anyway, I also designed some teacher appreciation labels that would be good for either the beginning or end of the year!
It all starts with our free printable back-to-school favor labels. This ZIP package is a great big bundle of goodies! It's got print-ready PDF versions that say "Welcome Back!" and "Thank You!" as well as customizable DOCX versions you can edit in Microsoft Office/Word to add your own messages. I even included a chalkboard font you can install on your computer to make your customized labels even more adorable.
Once you download and upzip the file, customize them if desired, then print the pages you need onto regular paper (or sticker paper for quicker assembly!). All of these printables come in two sizes, designed to fit perfectly onto our 4" and 5" mini pizza boxes.
For the kids, I chose 5" white pizza boxes, and I filled them with crayons, glue sticks, and cap erasers.
I made a custom 5" insert to put on the inside of the box lid, celebrating the 3rd grade year.
Then on top, I put a more generic "Welcome Back" message.
Then I cut out my coordinating ruler printables and used them in two ways. For some, I wrapped the strip of paper around the box, taping it on the back. This was a fun way to seal the box.
For some of the boxes, I applied the ruler image along the outside edges of the box, going all the way around. Super cute, huh? Don't worry about not having enough of these ruler images — our back-to-school favor printables set also includes a page of just rulers, so you can print extra if you need.
I am so thrilled with how these came out! My friend is excited to hand them out on the first day of school.
And to surprise my friend, I also used the teacher appreciation labels I made to create a special favor box for her. For this one, I chose the 4" white box and filled it with a bunch of dark chocolates.
These work great for the beginning of the school year, when you want to give a teacher a little something special (like a bunch of chocolates!). They're also perfect for an end-of-year thanks to your kids' favorite teachers, who work so hard all year.
