Valentine's Day Charcuterie Board in a Heart-shaped Candy Box
I absolutely love charcuterie boards, and this year I wanted to create a special one for Valentine's Day. When it came time to choose something to present it on, I thought outside the box by using... an actual box! I used an empty heart-shaped candy box to create a Valentine's Day charcuterie board — a HEARTcuterie board if you will — that's perfect for two people to share as a romantic snack or dinner.

Here's a video showing how to fill a heart-shaped candy box with charcuterie for a non-sweet treat on Valentine's day:
Using a heart-shaped box for charcuterie
I started with an empty heart-shaped candy box, and yes, I did get to eat all the candy myself first! The foam liner that always sits on top of the candy made a perfect moisture-resistant liner for the bottom of the box, and I flipped it printed-side down so that it was plain white.
Adding pepperoni roses to your charcuterie
Of course I planned to fill the heart with lots of delectable goodies, including meats and cheeses. To make it Valentine's Day themed, I first twisted some pepperoni slices into roses, which I secured at the bottom with toothpicks.
Popular charcuterie board items
After putting my pepperoni roses in the box, I surrounded them with more cheeses, meats, olives, nuts, and fruit.
Heart-shaped cheese for Valentine's Day
I cut thick slices of cheese and more pepperoni slices into heart shapes and tucked them around, adding to the overall feel of romance.
Is it HEART-cuterie or heart-CUTE-erie?
When it was all full, it was the perfect romantic Valentine's Day charcuterie board. Or HEART-cuterie box. Or even heart-CUTE-erie!
You can create this heart-shaped charcuterie board with any size candy box you want.
Note that since the boxes are made of paper and cardboard, they aren't washable or re-usable. I think I might buy a bunch of candy on clearance after Valentine's Day just to stock up on boxes!
