Pie Slice Box Template for Thanksgiving
Every year at Thanksgiving, my mom always makes more dessert than we could possibly eat at one meal. I'm not complaining, though, because it's wonderful to be able to take home leftovers! I thought I'd surprise her this year with some cute little paper boxes that are just perfect to put leftover slices of her famous pumpkin pie.
I started by designing some fun word art and added it to a pie slice box template I also designed. You can download our free Thanksgiving pie slice box template and make boxes for your Thanksgiving guests.
Once you print the pie box template onto white cardstock, just cut it out with scissors.
Then use a bone folder and straight edge to score along all the marked lines, for easier folding.
Use a craft knife to cut a slit along the line for the back tab.
Fold along all the creases you scored.
Now it's time to put it together! Apply some double-sided tape or glue to the short tab at the point of the box...
...and to the long tab along the side.
Then fold it up, tucking the tabs inside, and pressing them to stick them in place.
Your box is ready to hold a piece of pie!
To close the box, just insert the tab into the slot you cut on the back.
I just love these leftover pie slice boxes, and the quirky word art. So cute!
