Metallic Paint Pour Fall Leaves
I can't pass by the Target Dollar Spot without stopping to browse. With a Starbucks coffee in hand, I always come out of there with a few treasures! This time, I found some wooden, fall-shaped ornaments that were just begging to be brought home.
I wanted to add a personal touch to these so I decided to try paint pouring on them. I liked the wood as well though, so I taped off parts of each leaf and the acorn to keep some of the wood color.
I hadn't tried using all metallic paints for pouring yet, so I went with some Dazzling Metallics with the DecoArt Pouring Medium mixed in in equal parts. I didn't need a lot of mixed paint since these shapes were fairly small and I was only doing a part of each one.
I layered my colors and then poured it out over each shape.
After the paint was mostly dry, I removed the tape to reveal a crisp line between the wood and the beautiful metallics.
I love how they turned out! My grandmother loved them so much, I was forced to give this set to her. I guess I will have to make a return trip to the Target Dollar Spot quickly to get some more!
