A friend of ours had a Scooby Doo-themed birthday party for her 4-year-old son recently, and I jumped right in to help with party details. Kids' parties are so fun to plan, and I love Scooby Doo, so it was easy to find inspiration.
I thought I'd share the details of what we did for the party with you in case you are also looking for Scooby Doo birthday party ideas. Most of what we did can be created from our Scooby Doo party printables.

Arguably the most important party printable is the invitation! Our fun, folding invitation looks like Scooby's face on the front, and opens up to a Mystery Machine-inspired insert with party details. I just love how the ears pop up, don't you? The envelopes were sealed with a sticker of Scooby's dog tag, something we used often throughout the party space.
Those same dog tags also came in for decorating some fleece messenger bags I made for the party guests. I printed the image on iron-on paper and created fabric closures for the bags. The collars and tags make me smile every time I see them.
The bags were to be "inspector kits" for the kids, so they could solve any mysteries that happened to crop up during the party. We filled them with toys magnifying glasses, notepads and pens, flashlights, and disguise glasses.
Then we set up a mystery hunt game for the kids. We used the paw prints from the printables set to create clue cards that led them around the party space, until they finally found Scooby at the end. They really enjoyed solving the mystery.
The Scooby face elements included in the collection make it so easy to create adorable favor bags. Just print them on sticker paper, cut them out, and stick onto ordinary brown paper lunch bags. Instant Scooby!
The tiny Mystery Machine box printables also make great party favors. We filled them with M&Ms and placed them all around the cake table.
The cutlery wraps included in this set are great for bundling your napkins and cutlery, but they also happen to work great for inexpensive bottles of bubbles. One of the printable bag tags made the perfect sign to go with them.
The adorable popcorn boxes are great for whatever Scooby Snacks you are serving. We chose cheese balls, more for the coordinating color than anything else.
The water bottle wraps from the set also worked great for bottles of orange soda.
The coordinating straw flags, featuring our favorite Scooby Doo phrases, made simple bright green paper straws even more festive and fun.
The dog tag printables also made quick and easy necklaces for the kids, that looked like Scooby's collar! We just hung them from some blue ribbon, and the kids loved them.

Could you tell me what clues you wrote for the kids to solve the mystery?
Jenn, I'm afraid we no longer have the clues written down anywhere. We just sent the kids around the house and yard, giving them clues leading to certain spots. The goal was to find Scooby, so at the end of the hunt we had a large Scooby Doo inflatable.
