80s Party games with Retro Trapper Keeper Folder
Jo and I are planning a big 80s-themed corporate event (more on that soon!) and as part of that, we needed to come up with a fun party game that fit the retro 80s vibe. We reused the basics of the mini Trapper Keeper folder invitations that we made and adapted them into a party game as well.
I started by printing the folders and cutting them out, scoring the folds, then securing the flaps tiny thin clear Velcro 3/8" self-adhesive dots.
Then I designed some party games to go inside. I made an 80s trivia game, an actor/role matching game, a "Name that tune" 80s song game, and a fun "Where's Waldo" hunt. And we're sharing! You can download our free 80s party game printables, along with an answer sheet.
I printed the party games onto regular paper, and cut them out. We're having BINGO at the party as well, so we got some inexpensive paper BINGO cards that were the perfect size to add in.
I wanted to include a rule sheet with the games, so I printed some rules onto the green folder image from the invitation and printed it onto white sticker paper. Then I just stuck them to the inside of the Trapper, on the left.
I designed this rules sheet specifically for our party, which may not match yours exactly, but in case it does and you need some design help, you're welcome to download my rules sheet to use. (It's not customizable though!)
I gathered up the inserts — the four games I designed plus three BINGO cards — to tuck inside the folders.
I wanted to keep the game boards in place, but also keep them easy to remove if needed. I secured them with a brightly-colored paper clip with seemed like a perfect fit for the school supplies concept of the folder.
With the games inside, the folders close up for the perfect little party game that's so cute it's practically a party favor too!
As a final step, I printed out a copy of the answer sheet I designed. It has pre-filled in answers for the trivia and match games, but the song and Waldo games might be different for each party, so I left those blank so you could fill them in yourself with your specific songs and locations. This answer sheet is a great tool for the party host when checking the entries.
These are going to be the hit of the party!

can I please have the printout for the rules?
Sheena, you can find the party game printables in the link up in the post, but we didn't create a download for the rules sheet, since that's most likely going to be different for every party. However, just in case your party matches ours, I added my rules sheet as a download up above, so check it out.
This is such a awesome idea. Everyone is going to love it. Do you happen to have a LINK to the rules? I did found the link to the games, but is there a separate link for the rules of the game? Thank you!
Isa, since every party setup might be different, we didn't create a download for the rules sheet. However, just in case your party matches ours, I went ahead and added my rules sheet as a download for you.
